The Trochilus from JDR in China has been creating waves over the last few months - a Richter tuned diatonic harmonica, but with a button on the side, allowing access to a whole new key.
This is the same platform, the same slightly quirky shape, but is a standard solo tuned chromatic harmonica, although just with two and a half octaves as it has just ten holes.
It is valveless, and has the same responsive phosphor bronze reeds as used on the richter model, along with the same slick and airtight slider.
The comb is ABS resin and it is encased in stainless steel plates. The package is completed with a solid hard case to protect it.
JDR produce these in C, A, G, and Bb, but I just have a few in C to see if there is any demand.
