The package is completed with a neat, zip-up pouch to keep it safe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAvailable in a choice of 12 different major keys, a range of minor and natural minor keys, along with 'Paddy' tuning.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Paddy tuned models feature the third blow note raised a tone (so on a 'C' harp the three blow is now an 'A' instead of G. Not so good for chords, but great if you are playing melodies and trying to avoid that 3 bend! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have added some pictures of my own T008K, purchased right at the beginning of my harmonica 'journey'. It has been played everyday (just over 6 months when the pics were taken), been dropped on a hardwood floor too many times to count and even been dropped in a puddle, and it has survived it all! Some of that change relates to a new style of packaging (it is much smaller) and a new style 'flip-lid' box\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e, alongside new 'Torx' screws holding the cover plates in position (new photo's showing new packaging and torx screw below). These changes are S.L.O.W.L.Y being introduced, but it may be 2026 before all new versions are available, with some keys way ahead of others. I will make a note on here as the new versions arrive. When playing, it takes a little while to get used to the distances between holes, but producing a simple bass rhythm is possible quite quickly - I've not gone beyond that yet!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnless you are a big Bass fan, this is very much used to accompany other musicians - wouldn't it be great to get small, local harmonica groups meeting in the same way as ukulele groups do?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnlike most harmonicas, you play this little beauty blow only - there are no draw reeds - and breath gently, as blowing hard will often not produce a sound. Is it worth it? Well, I may be biased (!), but I think it is great fun! They are not the loudest harmonica out there, and have a very smooth sound, but I'm sure you blues specialists out there can take it down into the dirt. The large vents at the rear are supposed to help supress unpleasant high frequency sounds (they HAVE heard me playing...), while the fact that the reeds were treated at low temperatures apparently means they are flatter and closer fitted than many of their competitors. The shell, or casing, of the mic is a solid, ergonomically designed plastic, which feels comfortable and unlikely to slip in the hands, while also feeling solid enough to handle a few bumps. As such, they will have the odd 'tooling mark' here and there, unlike machine made items. What has changed is the actual shape of the comb, where all the corners are slightly rounded, making it feel, as they say, more refined. I have included two pictures of new and old together as a comparison (the old version is blue with a 'C' sticker on). While the rounding of the corners do make it more comfortable to play, some models do still suffer from the old Easttop problem of having slightly sharp corners, but nothing that cannot be ignored or easily remedied.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSound-wise, I would say there is a fractional difference, with it being slightly louder, and maybe with a richer tone. They have a crisp, bright sound and perform well with the lightest of touch - give them a little more air and the sound really bluesy. I found bends to be pretty good and easy to achieve.
