So how much difference does that make? \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCertainly it makes the harmonica heavier, weighing in at 113g, as opposed to the original Mars weight of 79g (both C harps). Kongsheng claim that it is fractionally more airtight, making it easier to play. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs it is based around the original Mars, it has the same round holes and smooth finish with rounded 'corners', and none of the sharp edges that can occasionally be found on some of the other Chinese brands. In short it is a pleasure to play. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn practice I am struggling to find a suitable descriptive word to explain the difference between the sound of this aluminium comb and the standard ABS comb of the original - but there is a difference, even my ears can hear! It almost has a slight extra solidity - maybe a slightly 'deeper' sound, which sounds great to me.
